Moline Police respond to Shooting Christmas Eve


Moline Police secure the scene of an "accidental shooting" on Christmas Eve night near 10th Street and 4th Avenue in Moline.


Police say that a group of males were passing around a loaded .12 gauge shotgun and posing for pictures when the gun was discharged striking one of them in his lower right leg and foot. 


The male was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery for non life-threatening injuries.


GOP hopeful Rick Santorum visits Genesis East


GOP hopeful Rick Santorum stopped by Genesis East in Davenport sharing his stance on healthcare in our country.


Speaking to a group of around 50, he called ObamaCare a “from the top-down policy” and said he thinks the American people deserve a healthcare system that is “about the people.”



Santorum also spoke about the two endorsements he received from the President of Iowa Family Policy, Chuck Hurley and Iowa Family Leader President and CEO, Bob Vander Plaats.


House Parties held across Iowa in support of Barack Obama


Democrats want to make sure their voices will be heard at the Iowa Caucuses in January. To do so they held house parties across the State of Iowa to rally support.


Politicians and community leaders reminded passionate democratic supporters how vital their voices are, this caucus more than ever. 


Iowa State Representative, Phyllis Thede spoke about her experiences with the Iowa Caucus and reminded supporters “It’s not time for us to sit back and be quiet.  We've do that before and we've seen the result of that, we can’t do that anymore,”

"Christmas Angel" pays for customers layaways

4 customers delinquent layaway accounts at the K-Mart on Brady Street in Davenport were brought up to date or paid off by an anonymous
"Christmas Angel."


According to the store manager, the woman who made the payments was inspired by a similar story she saw on CNN earlier in the day. She had finished her Christmas shopping and wanted to help a few families through the holidays.


One of the lucky customers to have her account brought up to date was 
 Katie Risdal. The anonymous woman made Christmas possible for the Katie and her son.

Stories from the past two months



The town of Viola had its first ever homicide on October 21st.

Melissa White's son found her nearly beaten to death and unresponsive in their backyard.

White later died at a Peoria hospital.

Participants had a guided tour of the hall. Learning the history of the buildings "famous" inhabitants.
